I had a stroke over a year ago (69). In the hospital, I had to get the physical sides working and begin work it. I also had Aphasia. Today, I have 99% of the physical side back ( I will drool at times and have swallow issues which I overcome by slow eating). I have maybe 85%- 90% of aphasia under control. Speaking with 90-95% and writing 80-90 % ( hand written 90%, typing 85%). At one year, I can see improvements with my writing and complex math. On two year, I hope to have 97-99% back. Yes, you have to work hard on it and have a people that care about you ( and make you work for it).
