2 Timothy 2:13 says, "if we are faithless,  He remains faithful—for He cannot deny Himself." This passage is literally the entire bible, especially the book of Hosea. Great job! Keep doing the Lord's work.

Hosea was the first book in the Bible that I read and it is currently the book that I’m studying. Love the timing of this video.

No, I did not inherit Adam's guilt. "Death passed to all mankind." Not his guilt death.

Drops mic and refuses to elaborate. (I know there is more to the message but for the sake of the YouTube short I comment.)

Now I have to go reread Hosea with the divine council and loyalty to YHWH view in mind. Sounds like fun ❤

Im far more comfortable and think its far more biblical and logical to look at salvation as an allegiance matter, a believing loyalty issue - rather than a 16th century european moral mysticism issue.
16th century thinks - You have to be clean to be in heaven - you cant wash yourself, you're unclean from birth, only jesus can wash you clean - he does that by a mystical complex of mysterious transformation, mystical motivation and entreating incantations and magically you are different but the same. If you arent changed its your own fault because you didnt do everything right.

Hell of a lot of community pressure and scrutiny in the reformed view. Its like you're committed to Church rather than Jesus.

By quoting the bible, right behavior and church attendance you will know them.

I dont believe this is biblical at all. Im much more comfortable with the allegiance/believing loyalty view.

ROMANS 5:19; FOR AS THOUGH THE ONE MAN'S(ADAM) DESOBEDIENCE (SIN, TRANSGRESSION) THE MANY WERE MADE SINNERS, EVEN SO THROUGH THE OBEDIENCE OF THE ONE(JESUS) THE MANY WILL BE MADE RIGHTEOUS.
If we don't believe the first part how can we believe the second? . ROMANS 5:12 . Death spread to all men because all sinned. Sin introduced death. Why do New Born babies die before they committed any sin?
Sin brings guilt and guilt death. The wages of sin is death. If we were made sinners we have the inclination to sin and therefore we are automatically guilty and dead in our sins. Wow this got my mind going around.!

Right. It’s part of the story, but not the whole story. However, it is the most succinct and perhaps most important summary of the gospel itself. A person must turn away from their current life, affiliations, priorities, and loyalties, and turn toward YHWH in all areas of their life in order to demonstrate what the Bible calls “faith”, or better, “faithfulness”, or what Heiser called “believing loyalty”.

However, there is a problem. No human being is capable of doing this completely or “perfectly”. Therefore, Christ becomes a substitute who fulfills the righteous demands of the law of God and his kingdom on our behalf and his righteousness is then imputed to those who are exercising this “faith”, however imperfectly they may be exercising it.

These “faithful ones” are now growing in their loyalty to YHWH and his purposes (sanctification) and are discovering more and more what it means to be a human being patterned after the image of Christ as they are being trained for life in God’s consummated kingdom where they will rule and reign with him alongside the Son and in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit for all eternity having been “made like him” (glorification). This understanding in no way stands in contradiction of Hosea (or the rest of the OT story) as far as I’m concerned. I’d be curious to understand more of Dr. Johnson’s point about this.

Who says we inherited the guilt of Adam? The Bible is pretty clear that we inherited a sin nature and death… not guilt

The book of Hosea is a powerful narrative that illustrates God's unwavering love and faithfulness to His people despite their unfaithfulness. Hosea, a prophet, is commanded by God to marry Gomer, a woman who is unfaithful to him. This marriage serves as a living metaphor for Israel's relationship with God. Just as Gomer is unfaithful to Hosea, Israel has been unfaithful to God by worshipping other gods and engaging in idolatry.

Throughout the book, Hosea's personal life and his prophetic messages intertwine to convey God's message to Israel. Hosea's marriage to Gomer and her subsequent infidelity symbolize Israel's spiritual adultery. Despite Gomer's unfaithfulness, Hosea is instructed to love her and bring her back, reflecting God's enduring love and willingness to restore Israel.

Key themes in Hosea include:

God's Love and Faithfulness: Despite Israel's repeated unfaithfulness, God remains committed to His covenant and expresses a desire to restore the relationship (Hosea 2:19-20).

Judgment and Redemption: Hosea warns of impending judgment due to Israel's sins but also speaks of future redemption and restoration (Hosea 14:4-7).

Repentance: The call to repentance is central, urging Israel to return to the Lord and abandon their idolatrous ways (Hosea 6:1-3).

Knowledge of God: Hosea emphasizes the importance of truly knowing God, not just through rituals but through a genuine relationship (Hosea 6:6).

The book of Hosea ultimately points to God's relentless love and mercy, foreshadowing the ultimate redemption found in Jesus Christ. It serves as a reminder that God's love is steadfast, and He desires a deep, personal relationship with His people.

The biggest mistake no one can explain to be true! We all are created in God's image which we teach ourselves. With that being said look at how we naturally punish each other through history. Every wrong action we commit towards our Creator does not add up to our demise! Also what did animals do against God to deserve pain when they give birth? I'm surprised people don't see the obvious! These people that believe this are pushing others to believe it and it is really all not completely true.

Why do you hide the gospel truths behind a paywall?
