In this video I will show you the steps to follow in order to present your Keynote presentation in a live Zoom meeting using presenter notes without other participants being able to see your presenter notes. This does not require a second computer or screen. You will learn how to share just part of your screen in the Zoom session so part of your screen that you are sharing will display the Keynote slides and the part of your screen not being shared will show your presenter notes and what slide is going to come next.

I truly hope you find this video helpful. Please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe to our channel to stay up to date with all of our content. Thank you!

The solution you provide is actually incorrect - it is not a Zoom hack, there is a function in Keynote that allows this. It is a better, and much more logical way.
1. Open the presentation in Keynote
2. In the menu, click Play --> Play Slideshow in Window
3. In the menu, click Play --> Show Presenter Display in Window (this opens a separate window with presenter notes and controls)
5. in Zoom, click on share screen - you will see that you can share your presentation window without any weird borders - click that window and share
6. You will now have Zoom sharing the images only, while you have a separate panel open with presenter's controls

This is a great solution but I wanted to mention, if your presentation is full of images (I’m presenting architectural renderings) the smaller screen output noticeably impacts images & graphics. If it’s just a text presentation it may not matter but when images are critical, this isn’t ideal.

But I really appreciate you posting & offering such a clear explanation.

Thank you! One question -- I can't access Zoom once the Keynote presentation display is up. I've checked the settings, so that Keynote doesn't occupy my entire screen. But it still is. Any clue as to settings is appreciated!

Thank you for your video instruction! I am wondering if Presenter Notes with Keynote will work in Streamyard? Thanks for your input🙂

Hi Jessica, great video! I was curious, is it still possible in Zoom, to be able to have you still live on camera on the side while you're doing your Keynote presentation? Let me know what you can please, thank you.

Wait. Why not just PLAY the presentation IN A WINDOW? Then all you do in Zoom is share THAT window. What am I missing here?

This is honestly not the best way to do it the way I usually do it is with 2 screens and select the slides the presenter view is invisible, and if it is reversed, you can reverse the displays, and it will move the speaker view on to the other screen you can also use ecamm live, but that is a bit more of an advanced move.
