I am so grateful for all these YouTube gym culture guys. Obviously you take everything with a grain of salt, but I’ve been able to create a training plan combining things I have learned from so many of them to better myself. I don’t get into the nitty gritty of who’s training programs work the best, but all the knowledge thats available for free on youtube is incredible.

Every set should go from to Best lifting advice ever!!!😂😂

The only problem with that is that you’re not getting any closer to failure, yet you’re still adding excess fatigue. The last super light weights of a drop set are basically just cardio, and “cardio kills your gains” in the context of doing cardio during or close to your hypertrophy training

I do drop sets on latteral raises with dumbells. I'm a pretty big guy, so for guys who just came in to the gym, I can see they look over like "huh?". There I am, grinning and sweating, barley getting 5kg up. 😂

But I've done what he's done. Dropped from 20 to 15 to 10 and then like 3kg. Just flapping like a bird.

When I get to the bottom of a droplet and the weight feels light again I just slow down and do negative reps to finish

If you know what your one rep max is & do the percentage of that with your drop set you'll never go too light.

Man when I drop set I go till I'm dead on my first weight. Then only drop a little and keep that feeling of death as I drop. It only takes me like max 5 reps after a drop to get back to dead.

From my experience dropsetting, You should be hitting failure between the 5th or 8th rep. If you can still do 10 or more reps, you went too light. And i wait about 10 seconds to begin the the next set with lighter weight.
I recommend only dropsetting on a specific muscle your focused on or one where you've reached a plateau.

We’ll take every drop set to failure. I go from 200 lbs for 8 reps to 50lbs for 11/12 on tricep push down

Thats what it feels like to get an endorphin rush mid set lol

when doing drop sets.... the lower the weight gets, the slower the eccentric. Plus, control the concentrics - don't launch the weights.
Chasing reps during a drop set is confusing movement with action. No shit reps.
