A restart would do this tank and customer good. Seems to have pretty hardy and easy corals that can withstand a newer tank or a fresh start. Possibly trade some of those corals in for a better ato setup.

I had an aptaisa eating filefish completely eradicate my aptaisa over a couple month period. I doubt I'd start that tank over since it's not that bad. Unless they want to do SPS or something, otherwise leathers and zoas are pretty nice and it'd look decent after the algae and aptaisa are gone.

I can't express enough to new reefers how important a uv steralizer and an ozone generator benefits a reef tank. Congratulations to you and tommy fir the new tanks and shop growth.

All though i don't think fish should be taken from their natural environment im glad your tanks are really clean and the fish look well taken care of. Good job. Some of the places i shop don't value the health and care of the fish

Nudibranchs work great. Took like over a month before they started eating the aptasia but once they were gone they never came back.

Pull the corals and save as much as possible. I’d scrub them rocks clean and dry them out in the sun for a week or 2. Remove all sand. Reassemble everything with some bio media or a rock or 2 from one of your best looking tanks. Probably your best option without breaking the bank
