Mom I can remember you singing this in the kitchen when I was young, I hope you singing this to dad in heaven.

Harvest moon is one of those songs that everyone knows even tho you've never heard it before in your life. It just feels like an old memory.

This song is summer nights with crickets chirping and clouds drifting past a full moon and all the yearnings in your heart that you can't put words too.

My late husband loved Neil Young, and introduced me to his music. I can't tell you how many times I've heard this song. I happened to be thinking about it tonight, and as soon as it started playing, I started crying and realized just how much I still miss him and still am in love with him. I hope one day to see him dance again.

Well, I'm 55, it's 2020 and I heard this song for the first time on the radio a day ago. Something about the lyrics and the melody just speak to my soul. It's such a tender song. Yeah. That's it. It's tender.

My dad would dance with me to this song when I was a kid. I love that my dad introduced me to good music

My parents were married for 50 years before my dad passed away 4 years ago.
This song reminds me of being young and watching them slow dance in the kitchen. I was always in awe of their love and loyalty to one another. It's rare to find that devotion nowadays.
I love and miss you dad. Thank you for showing me how a good man cares for his wife and children. Mom misses you so much. The light left her when you passed away. I hope that you will be reunited someday in paradise.

Crying my eyes out reading the comments!! So sorry for everyone’s losses!!! My folks will be married 43 years this fall. When we get together and visit we play some tunes and this is a staple from Dad to Mom. I hope and pray they have many more anniversaries!

I grew up listening to this song...never used to care about it one way or another...never disliked it, but it was just another song my mom used play when I was growing up...but, hearing it now and really listening to the lyrics?? Oh, my...it brings tears to my eyes. I guess to fully appreciate songs like this, you have to live life, don't you? We have to grow up and experience life's ups and downs...love, loss, grief, joy..all of it..

This is the last song we danced to before my husband passed away 😢. It was a beautiful summer night and we were dancing on our deck. We live in a small town where 5he houses are too close to each other. We didn't care what our neighbors thought
