In this video I put a 1983 Marshall JMP 2203 in a mix with bass and drums. In Scandinavia Marshall JCM800 was produced also with JMP cosmetics up to 1984.

What a great sound! I got a '79 2203 JMP myself. Can't stop playing once it's turned on!

Such a great, classic, natural-sounding recording. Love it.

The recording reminds me of the acoustics of the practice room i once used to play with my bandmates. What you hear is what you get : Unpolished, real and the sound puts you right in the middle. That's How it should be imho. I like it. Thanks for sharing, Johan. love your videos !

It's great the way you worked with what you had to record a nice sounding classic rock mix. Like solving a puzzle.

Those original master volume amps were the best sounding Marshall’s ever IMHO, I had 2 combos 50w. ❤️❤️

I really liked it from the moment you had two guitars... the fact the room mike remained consistent made the stereo and band position very real for me. I had 1st year high-school buddies, kids really, who in early '81 took the song Wasted by Def Leppard of their On Through the Night album, learned it by ear and played it in a room that size. I think that was my first ever rehersal/recording I witnessed. Very similar sound and vibe, especially without any singing. Thanks for a quick hit of memories!

Wonderful amps! I have an '81 Scandinavian 2203 that I bought in MUG in Göteborg when I was a studying at Chalmers 2002-2004. I run it into a 1960 cab that has two V30's and two Classic Lead 80's in an X-pattern. Sounds really good. I also have '74 Superlead and a '70 1982B cab. Keep up the good work. Love your channel!

I somehow figured you had to have clones to make such amazing content. Jmp sounds saturated and I love it 🤘🤘

Somehow I get the idea you are a dedicated Marshall fan. Cool video

I love that question: "What complexity pays off?" You got a great sound with very little complexity. I think we could all do a little more with less. Each overdub really brings the whole song together. I'm hearing the whole kit and the mix grooves pretty well.
