Elif, this was such a beautiful poem! I cannot tell you how's it just impacted me & my belief is I was supposed to see & hear & discover you & your poetry! When you said Ana/ Anne, I cried! I lived in Turkey for almost 5 years as a young child (82-86) and I used to speak fluent Turkish. So that is what I always called my Mother and, of course, Baba. I thank you so much, not just for the trip down memory lane and thinking of my endearments of my now passed folks, but for the rest of your poem, for it truly had touched me. Thank you, thank you! I will now go and stalk your life online 😂 mashallah
