Wow I did not know that these existed until now. All I knew is that I wanted something versatile, that can do cleans and a a bit of overdrive really well, loud but not too loud, quiet but only when its necessary, well made, and realistically affordable. That spring reverb tank seems like the icing on the cake. I definitely will be considering one of these for the future

Denis built me a Romany Twelve with ToneTubby Speaker around 2008, I was working in Southampton at the time and picked it up from his bungalow on my way home to Lancashire it’s brilliant just like Denis. Had a brew with him while he demoed it with his pink strat. Walked into a local shop recently, they had a used Traveler 5, mint £250-00, got out with it quick, felt like I stole it, another gem, just like Denis. He’s a Legend, ask Eric

I think this is a really great move by you guys. Having a high quality amp to demo the guitars will show the true nature and sounds of guitars.

Bought this same amp a few months back and it is no less great… 10W but holds its own with the band. Surprisingly loud and plenty headroom when needed, and whisper quiet with great sounds for when the kids are asleep. My best amp purchase through my 30 years of playing guitar.

it has a few potential for improvements though.
1. the EQ bypass switch should be bypassable. That would work great for solos.
2. The speaker output is not easy accessible so if you wish to use it with an IR loader (like Suhr Reactive Load) for home recording than that is not easy.

Best guitar store in the world. Bought my HD28 there.

From what I have seen/heard of the Cornell amps, I love those things. I think I would prefer the Weber 12A150, though. "Humbuckings."

Fantastic demo. I currently have a Blues Junior iii and seriously considering upgrading to the Romany 12. It's made in the UK, hand wired and it doesn't need to be biased when changing the valves (as confirmed by Denis Cornell himself, who responded within the hour to my email quering this -another example of great service!). I currently play at home, but may have the option soon of gigging in a church which has a PA. Would this work well, just micd up to a PA? I have also been considering the Fender Deluxe reverb and a Princeton, but the Cornell is appealing to me more and more. Thanks.
