I started traveling almost full time when I graduated college at 22 and now I want to help you do the same! I've backpacked around europe, gone to yoga teacher training in costa rica, lived in hawaii for two month and now I'm traveling the world with my remote job as a digital nomad.

In this video I go over the different ways you can travel in your 20s, How to afford the trip and how much you should save, how to make travel friends, how to make money while you travel, my favorite travel gear and some budget travel hacks.

How did you find a remote 9 to 5? I am class of 2022 as well and I was never able to get a full time job relating to my degree. So I worked at a restaurant the past year and was traveling every couple of months instead. I have the same mindset as you regarding travel and I would love to travel like this! The economy is so discouraging, I'm back to applying to remote roles but there are thousands of candidates fighting for the same remote roles now as everyone is pushed back into the office. You hit the lottery!!

Great insight Bailey!! Traveling in my 20s so far as been the best way of life I chose. But it’s definitely not for everyone, it’s challenging and rewarding at the same time ❤

I travelled through 20 European countries at 18 over 3 months for less than $4500 cad ($1000 of which was flights from Canada). The truth is if you want to travel cheap you are sacrificing comfort and convenience, it’s not a vacation. Travel during the off season, cook your own food, and only take the overnight Flixbuses so you don’t have to pay for a hostel. That’s how you travel cheap, no one can teach you, you just have to do it.

Yes credit cards are so great as long as you know what you are doing! You can really pay for all your flights with credit card points if you take advantage of the the sign up bonuses and maximize your points per dollar earnings.

Seriously such a great and comprehensive video. I don't know how you don't have more subs!

I am currently working a very full-on job in marketing.
I am considering taking a break for 6 months up to 2 years to the uk on the tier 5 visa (I'm from Australia). With this visa I can still visit europe also.
I'm thinking of starting off with staying in hostels or guest rooms in airbnbs - not as cheap as a hostel but relatively close and I think it would be great to get local tips from the host.

I'm thinking I would then want to try a workaway (I'm also hoping this will give me something to occupy myself with while away I'm thinking either hostel work or au pair style (I have experience working with children so am leaning toward au pair, but also the idea of being with a big group in a hostel is cool too!).

Seriously I wish I knew more people like you, it's inspiring to hear from someone who loves the travel/nomadic lifestyle and is conscious with how they use their money.

I've been saying for such a long time that I was going to spend a lot of time travel. I'm almost 26 now, so I feel like next year is as good a time as ever!

I've also saved up a decent chunk of money for the first time in my life because I've been saving for an apartment, but I would love to travel (without blowing too much of it) before I consider purchasing a place to settle in!

Another great vid.

as someone who has travelled Southeast Asia for 6 months, South America for a month and a half, and Mexico for 2 months, + Korea & Japan I can say 2.5 K USD a month is the literal perfect amount ! That allows you to have wiggle room to be flexible and do everything you want. Best advice here

Many good points. Don't forget to learn about the culture of places you are going. Some places have more defined or expected cultures than others. An American in London is pretty easy aside from learning different words they use for things. Going to a place driven by a deep culture like Japan without learning do's and don'ts is a recipe for problems and is hard on the Japanese. Safety is a lot about confidence and listening to your gut. But one can research that about a given place as well. Lastly, as "travel influencers" are being increasingly viewed as predatory and problematic around the world please don't be one and just be enriched by your travel and be good to the locals.
