Welcome to another exciting gaming episode! In this video, I'll be sharing my experience running the incredible Nintendo Switch Yuzu emulator to play the captivating 'Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom' on the powerful Steam Deck by Valve.

Get ready to delve into a thrilling adventure with me as we explore the game mechanics, graphics, performance, and overall fun factor of Zelda on the Yuzu emulator, running on the compact yet mighty Steam Deck.

In this deep-dive review, I provide my honest thoughts and perspectives on the overall gameplay experience - spoiler alert, it's super fun! While there's still a bit of lag here and there, it doesn't significantly impact the overall enjoyment. Plus, the frame rate in the mid 20s is quite commendable for an emulator running on handheld hardware.

From epic battles to sweeping landscapes, join me as we test out the performance of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom. Let's answer the question: Is it a viable option for all you gaming enthusiasts out there craving for a portable Zelda experience?

And remember, it's not about absolute perfection, it's about the joy of the game. We're treading into pioneering territories here, and the fact that we can play such an immersive title on a handheld device is pretty impressive!

For everyone experiencing random crashes in yuzu, set anti-aliasing method to FXAA. It's defaulted to off. But for TOTK it needs it on or it will crash at random. Your welcome :)

Finished the game with mostly stable 30 after much tinkering... It was awesome playing on the deck, but it's not a perfect experience. I played about half of the game with stable 20fps because it felt smoother than the inconsistencies. After finally reaching a consistent 30 the only issues i couldn't overcome was the lag in the depths and in a few towns (mostly lookout landing, gerudo and DM)

Please don't compare 24fps in gaming to movies. For starters movies use motion blur and it's about the input lag at that low frame rate too.

Now this is the perfect video on how ToTK performs on the SD. Subscribed!

I won’t say DRAMATIC but cryobyte33 has made something really incredible and his deepdive videos are on another level. Not necessarily about squeezing every bit of performance, more about stability. Great video other than cryoutilities having overheating issues and instability, if you tweak the deck with it responsibly, it does indeed make a big difference.

I sent my steam deck for RMA but as soon as I get it back I'm so excited to play this and have my 2tb SSD in too

I definitely have drops here and there, but for the most part have stable 30 everywhere.

Nice video! How many hours of battery life can you get playing TotK? And is it able to suspend and resume? I wasn't able to do that with Cemu running BotW and it was super annoying.

It runs way better on steam os 3.5 if you want more performance, probably not full 30 all the time still though

I really like how valve manages to optimize this hardware to a point it's still competitive, even with newer and more powerful competitors, mostly due to the Windows overhead. Steam OS 3 can run just what is needed for games and that is the whole point. You don't need much more than that

I had this game running at higher framerate already (I used a static 60fps mod which could actually boost performance often) and I don't know what it is exactly what I did, but now the game crashes all the time and it is now essentially unplayable now to me. I really, really hope this gets fixed one day. I done so much Googling and I'm completely lost as to how to fix it.

CryoUtilities is a top tier upgrade for the SteamDeck. Did it to mine and I'd never have it any other way. Noticeable improvement.

Your Steamdeck is running TOTK kinda high in watts. I am around 9-12w and 15w at worse, get an easy 3 hrs with very playable frame rates.

Would appreciate if you dropped your settings for the game to make it run this smooth :)

This video probably has a few more hours left before Nintendo forces YouTube to strike it lol. That's why you don't see any big YouTubers posting totk videos on steamdeck, Rog ally, ayaneo etc.
