With the considerable rise in popularity in the Horizon series, and considering that Horizon is a friendlier series for a wider and less serious player base, it seems very unlikely that FH5 will be abandoned any time soon.

I personally think that the moment Forza Motorsport was fully developed, the devs started putting more effort into FH5, which explains why the updates have suddenly gotten so good. Whether this lasts or more recycled cars will start coming in the playlist like they used to, once the new Motorsport game is released, is something only time will tell.

My take on this is in order to know what will happen to FH5, just take a look at what already has happened: A large part of those who where playing FH5 around its' release have quit playing the game for several reasons, the biggest here would be the lack of good content updates and major bugs stretching until the end of 2022. The people who are still playing FH5 are (obviously) mostly first-to-the -franchise players who discover Forza through Game Pass or Steam, alongside completionists, players who grind game modes like Rivals and also a small amount of competitive players in small to mid-sized communities like Racing Haven or Team Wars. Most of these differently categorized players will jump into FM8 sooner than later for it being a new game with lots of stuff to do and also a better environment for competitive racing.

On a random note if you have the new Chevy C10 you may notice there are body imperfections on the passenger side door also imperfections in the paint there are 4 rectangles and a square on the door it’s noticeable with lighter paints like white and silver and you can also see the imperfections on top of the fender from the hood all the way down the body line in those colors depending on the light it’s almost like orange peel

I personally would like to see more cars from motorsport being sprinkled into horizon 5 as I like the free-roam type of gameplay of the Horizon series and I also like track focused cars like the Ferarri 296 gt3, Porsche 911 RSR (or the new R), and the new Mustang s650 gt3.

A sinergy of content would be the best choice for both game series. FH fans would probably love having GT1/GT3/GT4/Prototypes cars. Also, FM fans would love having more road daily cars.

I’ve noticed there was no thumbnail on forza monthly teasing the new fh5 update but a photo from motorsport. I hope this doesn’t happen a lot

If this game ends in December 1, 2032, I am going back to Car Mechanic Simulator with my Xbox One X. Until the Xbox One X Series becomes half-price is a must to buy even in a less bulky version.

Imma be honest once The Crew Motorfest and the new FM comes out I probably won't touch FH5 again until a few years from now once I start feeling nostalgic for it. For sure by the time Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown comes out I don't see myself having a reason to want to play FH5.

I hope Motorsport is a live service game that could give us new cars, race cars, and new tracks even monthly with their new track scanning system. Especially the older fantasy tracks to return.

I believe you’ll be proven right Eric. I am hoping, having seen a new Can-Am McLaren racer in the FM footage that wasn’t in FM7, that one car that will be shared in both titles, maybe as part of the release celebration, will be the Marta MS670 and McLaren M6GT that were part of the FH4 leaked cars list and we are yet to see appear.

Personally, I’m waiting to see the car choice for the new Forza motorsports game(and the type of cars that are going to be added to this game.)I personally have a list of over like 500 cars that deserve to be in Forza, but aren’t currently featured in their games even though the brand they come from are currently featured in the game.but I’m also keeping an eye out on The cars added in with updates if it’s like Forza horizon five and once you missed the time limit to unlock a car, that’s it you can’t get it. Then ima not even bother I already quit Forza horizon five because there’s no way to get all the content that I missed and I only missed it because of the limited amount of Xbox series x in stores near me. I’m honestly replaying Forza motorsport six right now because they have a decent amount of Alfa, Romeo and Lancia made cars

These new updates seem cool to me, but if they were to introduce 4+ cars each month... they should bring the max limit of cars up (currently 1000) since I'm already having to sell my cars to get the new ones, (currently around 700-705 unique cars)

I think they will have their hands full upgrading Forza Horizon to the new Forzatec engine as well as creating the new environment for FH6 so will have to rely on Motorsport for new cars if FH5 is to keep going without rehashed content.
