Don't buy the new Forza, get this $10 game instead

Instead of buying the new Forza Motorsport, Gran Turismo, or Need For Speed games, you need to look at Assetto Corsa for the PC. Even though its slightly older, the mods in this game make it one of the best driving games of all time. Incredible driving physics, amazing community, and VR support make Assetto Corsa one of the coolest driving games of all times. The one downside is that it WILL make you spend money on a steering wheel for your computer!

As a asseto player I can confidently say if you want to play a racing game don't buy asseto. Only buy it if you want to play a racing Simulator

If you are a sim guy sure, not everyone wants to tryhard on a racing game
Some people want an arcade racing experience, what about those people? Or what about people who prefer a more offroad experience? Etc etc its entirely preference based

Ok, I understand what you are saying. That is correct, asserto has huge support... except that it is modding support.
Why is that a problem you ask?
Well, when Gran turismo 5 was out 10 years ago, IGN said that it was a good simulator but a not so great game, because of its UE being "clunky" and not so great career mode.
Now, if that was bad, then where does this put Asserto Corsa? With UE so bad that the community had to CREATE THEIR OWN LAUNCHER TO AVOID IT!!!!

I want to play an actual game, not a Playset.
I want a game with a single player career mode THAT DOES NOT NEED INTERNET CONNECTION, an actual stable online experience, etc.

I’m sorry but I absolutely HATE Assetto Corsa! Especially since that it feels like everyone starts thinking that everything else is pale in comparison to any other racing game.

Though I do admire the community and the mods that saved it from failure, but still. I’d rather choose Forza over Assetto anytime, any day!

GT is a game with standard settings that can be played with a DS/similar, if you want to be more realistic then the driving settings have to be changed, so GT gives many choices, depending on how we want to play it.

for anyone complaining about it being on PC, it runs on a potato, my 10 years old pc had no problem running it, aside from ram issues, wich is very cheap
it's your problem for choosing a closed hardware anyways...

Assetto Corsa without SRP is dogsh*t, all the other big open maps mods are quite literally empty with no traffic, even the video only shows SRP map and vanilla tracks.

If you can run it, and find a community that's patient enough to deal with someone who doesn't have a multi thousand dollar sim rig, sure.
