Imagine doing a multiverse and not using the opportunity to show a male Bayonetta or a Lumen Bayonetta

I'm willing to pay for a DLC (all the bayonetta variant costumes + a 10-hour story expansion).

IN MY DREAMS as the dlc is way impossible now.🤣

It's not even the same version of Bayonetta from 1 & 2, so I don't give a shit if she's immortal. I want the story of the original character to continue.

If I had to guess they probably scrapped Shuraba here because Viola already uses a Katana of sorts, sure they're different, but at the end of the day it'd be less distinct compared to one of the other weapons.

The level design of Bayo 1 and 2 were so good because the maps were so ethereal and outwardly. I used to spend hours just walking around and backtracking was actually fun.

Bayo 3 just made me feel like I was playing on some basic uninspired Final Fantasy and Assassin’s Creed map. The desert is just painful to play through, especially with Viola.

Honestly, I lost a lot of respect for Kamiya when he walked back on several statements regarding Luka and Bayonetta's relationship. Specifically saying that the relationship would be impossible for Bayo considering human's short lifespans. If he's willing to lie about such benign statements to placate the fan base, I don't see why he wouldn't lie about other things to make them feel better about the ending.

His intent and his words are two different things to me. And while U very much dislike the ending to 3, I have to say, it's weak to kill a character and then say, "Hey, they're doing alright in hell. But, we heard the fans and we're bringing back Bayo 3 despite her death being held as this monumental thing as she saved all worlds!"

The fact they have to keep hinting at us that she will continue to be the protagonist is hilarious. In an art book and a letter read by Doug Bowser at the game awards. What other franchise has an oopsie this bad? Like sure other games like last of us 2 kill off their protag but that’s done in a purposeful “I don’t care what the fans think” kind of way. But how else could we see this other than that they actually thought we would just be in love with viola like an “upgrade” or something

Theory: Bayo 3 was rushed and cut because Switch is about to end its timeline and Platinum were preparing two (or three) games at the same time: Bayo 3 for Switch and Bayo 4 for Nintendo next generation hardware, this hoping that new hardware could help in add more content to the game.

I'm not sure "alive" counts if it's just that after she died her soul turned into a demon. "and well", sure, but she definitely dead. Then again an in conjunction with the Luka picture any one of these is just *a* version of the character rather than *the* version of the character. They can kill Bayo, Jeanne, Luka, and Enzo as much as they want since they can functionally bring them right back by setting the next game in an alternate universe.

My personal headcanon? Bayonetta and madama Butterfly running hell now

I remember reading somewhere of a developer's remark of Bayonetta 3's release that they felt like they had been working on Bayo 3 for too long (red flag) and were surprised that the game would be released at all (another red flag).

Kamiya may not have said outright she is alive, but for some reason Bayonetta’s physical form was restored before she was dragged down with Luka. This implies that she was either reunited with her umbran watch/magic and revived, or she no longer has a need for it and can sustain her form by other means. In the second game, Jeanne was dragged to hell in spirit form and was only physically restored after the reunion with her watch. The same principles can be applied to Bayonetta. Without an explanation for that, she could very well be presumed alive as her soul was never absorbed into inferno (Rodin’s definition of true death)

To me, that quote from Kamiya sounds like a way to appease the vocal group of angry fan(atic)s.

These games’ stories are bonkers. I wouldn’t trust anything being final… ever. I mean, if this one universe (I believe Bayo #3’s universe) restored at the end of the game, whose to say the other universes aren’t? I’m guessing Bayonetta 4 might be Viola looking for her mom just as Bayonetta 2 was looking for Jeanne.

Nintendo did release "We are as one" the full song not too long ago which means the top is still fresh on their minds. So this may be the silver lining of getting a dlc we have been looking for

Still holsing out for a dlc that's like "legacy wardrobe" that includes the concepts of the background bayo variants and their weapons. Also like add the old weapons, I wanna have chernobog back,

I would happily buy DLC if there was a Lumen Sage version of Bayonetta
