The Celtic dream that still exists for Jordan Larsson - and why fairytale move could be on the cards

Jordan Larsson, the son of Celtic favourite Henrik, has been speaking about the possibility of him playing at Glasgow at some stage in his career.

The 23-year-old is currently firing in the goals in Russia for Spartak Moscow - so is a move to Scotland really a possibility.

And what would life be like with 'Larsson 7' leading the line for the Hoops again?

Playing for Celtic has always been on the cards, if he is good enough show me a supporter who wouldn't want to see this happen

He always said one day I want to play for Celtic ‘ he’s followed the club since he was a wee boy ‘ 🍀🍀

His father could’ve made much more money out of his football career by moving up sooner than he did but his seven years with us winning trophies, the European nights and runs were more important to him. Jordan will already be a very rich young man and if, like his father, success and memories are more important than ultimate wealth then it’s more likely he might choose to sign for us. Players who play with a passion for their club are better team players than those using us as a stepping stone to, say, the EPL.

Some footballers just want to be happy and I'm sure with all the madness of this year has made players think twice. He be a great signing and be eager to prove himself too

You never know, history has a habit of repeating itself. If he’s good enough and is going to offer something then why not.

Pretty sure Spartak slapped a high clause on him as it was reported Barca were sniffing about in the summer. Probably just due to Henrik being at Barca that story done the rounds tbf. He would do well at Celtic, similar to his dad, some differences in the sense he started as more an attacking midfielder than a striker so had dif traits but there is a a fair bit of Henrik in him. You have to take into account aswell he was brought up in one of the best youth programmes in Barca, he's had a few ups and downs already on his career (Henrik did too before us) but to me the most attractive thing is what he would have learnt from his dad. Henrik is a striker who drops into spaces and creates goals not just scores them, an old fashioned type, you don't get many of them these days and I think Jordan would have picked that instinct up from his dad. Here's hoping

Do you know something, i wouldn't be surprised if this was started upstairs, as a distraction to what's going on the park currently.

I’m in, SPL would be a helluva lot easier standard for him, having played in Russia will stand him on great stead

Young Larsson is a better player than Odsonne Édouard and a few others , Listen we’re always looking for someone that can cover the whole forward area across the pitch, having a player that ticks all these boxes brings another dimension to the team ‘ he’s fast can slot in any forward position and either flank’ dead ball & free kick specialist, brilliant passing and movement in midfield’ chases back, closes down brilliant Aerial prowess fantastic posture prior to scoring goals from range, one ve ones, chips dinks and placing with either foot or head, around the box he’s lethal with either foot inside or out side of the foot with power, reads the game brilliantly excellent positional play, top scorer and voted best player in Russia too, Swedish international, we would be mad to pass up the opportunity to sign him for free, every club would be wary of Our attack with Larsson slotted in the team, check out his you tube footage, and he’s a completely different player to his dad, these chances for a 15 million pound player as a free is a rarity, so let’s not waste anytime and approach him for talks, the shirt sales and merchandise would generate millions for the club, and last but not least, ,embrace him and give him time to settle, and let him do his talking on the field, but never compare him to his Dad let Him create his own legacy, Larsson [10] 💚🍀🍀

We have signed a ton of players that arent good enough to play for us before. From a business point of view the board would be well up for it as they know it would make sense just for the merchandise.

Ive never seen him play so I cant really comment, but his career stats dont suggest that he's anything special. We wouldnt be even have a remote interest if he didnt have the surname.

Lennon shouldnt be given a single penny to spend in January after spending 12million on Barkas, Ajeti and Duffys loan fee. Save that momey for the new manager (or even to be spent on the new manager).

Not sure, his goal scoring record isn’t that great tbh. We had the looks of Gary Hooper with a better record at his age

Immediate swap for Ajeti - that guy has looked pure pants for months and is slower than a lead-plated bicycle. I loathe nepotism but when it comes to The King, I’d make an allowance.

Mind if one of your players scores an overhead kick to shout and scream that it shouldn't count
