Windows vs Linux vs Mac OS

The thing is you don't actually have to pick in between windows and linux. You can actually dualboot them and enjoy the advantages of both systems.

Remember, an OS is just a tool to do what you want to do (play games, edit videos, writing).

The best OS will be the one that suits your needs.

With Linux, it really depends on the distro. There are many distros that are pretty beginner friendly and have a lot of community support. Not to mention, companies like Valve are pushing gaming compatability on Linux, so many of our favorite games can run on Steam thanks to Proton, with more in progress.

Windows is obviously the best OS out of these 3. I mean just look at the numbers. Windows gets more hate because literally everyone uses it for everything.
Linux is for nerds who like to fiddle with tech, Mac OS is for graphic designers with too much money but literally everyone and their mother uses windows for everything, so obviously you're going to have/hear about more issues...

Its not that macos doesn't have issues like windows, its that you're used to the issues it has.

I've been using Windows everyday all day long for more than 20 years, and I don't get update issues, any freezings and much less annoying popups. That's basically the Windows of a user that has infected it with any combination of malware because he doesn't really know what he's doing.

Nah it seems like the Linux users are linux employees. They will literally come to your funeral to tell you how great Linux is.

I have windows 11 and have no problems with copilot, popups or random updates, it works just fine

Thing is, if MacOS supported more apps and devices it would stop being so stable. You cant have both widespread compatibility and complete stability.

Linux has gotten about 200 times better than it was even just a few years ago for compatibility. Only about 17 of the 120 games in my steam library can’t run right in Linux, and it’s usually due to the developers not allowing the Proton Version of their anti cheat work. Like I can install and run rust, but I can’t play on normal servers because the proton easy anti cheat isn’t recognized as legit by the game servers. That’s all that’s been stopping steam games, and windows games can for the most part run on Linux no problem. There is definitely an advantage to using an arch based distro over the others though just due to the sheer scale of the community and thus the scale of all the applications people worked to unofficially port over. Otherwise even if you run an Nvidia card Linux isn’t that bad anymore for gaming. It’s actually my preferred way to play games cause u can mix what you say you like about Mac OS with what I like about certain complexities of windows. Except most of those complexities are CLI based in Linux not GUI like windows.

Valve has actually made moves towards Linux Gaming such as making all of their games Linux compatiable and also making Proton, which while not perfect allows Windows programs to run on Linux, particularly games.
