Kind of a shame this doesn't include the Batmobile revving up - that part was so freaking _loud_ in theaters - it did a great job of showing how this Batman uses fear and intimidation as a tool.

I'm so glad I got to see this scene on the big screen. Truly one of the best theatre moments of all time.

I just realized this was the first Batman chase that involved actual heavy highway traffic. The other ones seemed like nobody was around in a big city.

The Penguin doesn’t know he’ll be doing this for at least 15 more years and I love it.

This actually felt like a real car chase, with both Penguin and Batman messing up and getting into crashes with other cars in traffic. It's messy but realistic. You can feel Batman's frustration as well as Penguins' frightened panic. In other movies, it's always perfectly choreographed, smooth driving. Here it felt like a true chase. Props to the crew and stunt coordinators.

The cinematography is absolutely brilliant. Can't wait for the sequel to this masterpiece of a film.

The frame where Batman approached The Penguin upsidedown like... an actual bat.

PRICELESS

I love how Batman is more or less completely in control here, the entire time, whereas Penguin is freaking out, yelling at other cars, and weaving back and forth.

My favorite is when Penguin shoots an entire clip into the window and Batman just stares him down the entire time. It’s not a question of IF he’ll catch you, it’s only a question of WHEN.

Plus the Batmobile is so damn cool. Nolan’s was an government-contracted project that required an entire R&D department, while this is a frankly insane armored-up muscle car with the equivalent of a jet engine in the back made by one dude in his basement. It’s scary not because it looks like a tank, but because the guy who made it is clearly unhinged, and he’s coming for YOU.

What a shame they cut out his engine starting. That was literally one of the most key parts of this scene in being so awesome showing how much power is in that vehicle

I like how at moments, the Batmobile's engine sounds like a monster roaring in the distance. It definitely adds to the idea of Batman being seen more as a gothic entity than a guy in a bat costume.

4:05 is definitely my favorite part, I can’t stop rewatching it. Batman’s frustration followed by the screech from the batmobile, to the first person view of it going up the ‘ramp’ gives me chills

0:43 I like how Batman doesnt try to drift back into the same lane as Penguin and immediately knows that he can turn left ahead and maintains his composure, really shows how fast Batman thinks.

If you didn’t see this in theaters you missed out. This was the scene that kicked the movie into overdrive.

To be immersed in the combination of explosive sounds, Giacchino’s score, the raw aggressiveness of the revamped Batmobile and the whole ‘French Connection’ vibe of the scene itself.

One of the best chase scenes to be done in years…

I love how Batman's footsteps and the Batmobile are also characters in this movie. Hearing both of them make noise in surround-sound in the theater really makes you understand why criminals in Gotham fear him as vengeance. As the night.

Seeing this in imax at the "fans first" event was amazing. Surrounded by huge Batfans, hearing them cheer during this scene will be one of greatest movie experiences I will ever have.

I love how this is shown mostly from the Penguins perspective, as it depicts Batman as this roaring spectre he cannot seem to escape.

I really like Batman's growl at 4:05 followed up immediately by the scream of the jet turbine. Imo, it made it feel like the Batmobile was expressing Batman's rage and determination like it's an extension of him.

I love Farrell's acting in this scene. All the 'Come on!!!"'s felt so believable, like he would be scared and so full of adrenaline at the same time. Even his laugh at the end when he thinks he's got Batman is great.

The shot of the car flipping has so much momentum in it. Brilliant cinematography, leaving the camera attached to the rear of the car and letting the camera feel as if it’s gonna fly towards the accident. Really fills you with adrenaline. Master class.

0:32 is one of the most awesome combinations of music and audio I've seen in a movie. The hints of the BAS theme coupled with that engine growl 🔥
