I love his expression when he's first revealed because like.... When you think about it, he was falsely convicted of murder. That high level officer (thrown on the ground) was the first person he'd ever killed. He'd never hurt anyone before and now in order to survive and hopefully attain freedom he has to commit so much violence. He's determined to do what it takes but in the process he becomes the monster that people believed he was in order to get him put in that situation in the first place.

I love the little detail of P.AI.nter starting out with just a X3 and locking the door before his actual drawn face appears on the screen and he uses the turrets, showing the update progression of his character.

This is one of those animations you discover during the highest point of a hyperfixation and you watch it over and over again cause its just that cool, then years down the line you remember it out of nowhere and rewatch it for the nostalgia and its still that good

I’ve never expected a horror video game to have an immaculate animatic with such beautiful detail and great emotion of the monsters and soldiers. I also love that the main monster had Angler fish characteristics.

Having the “We are the same. You and I” part line up with the expendables going down into the facility is so good! Because neither Sebastian or the expendables are meant to return!

TWO THINGS I LOVE ABOUT THIS:

1. sebastian's human appearance makes me think of epic ody ngl

2. Scylla's story in some cases is she was turned in the monster she is now without her choice, which fits with Sebastian VERY well

0:52 you can see Sebastians face and see that it has small bit of pity or maybe even guilt. he doesn't do anything and only starts to attack them when they raise their guns.
He was never a murderer in the first place. He was wrongfully sentenced to death and ended up getting experimented on. Sadly like the song said. You must do what you can to survive

Little moment when Seb and Painter are cooperating (1:12) is a really nice detail! A lot of people forget that Painter was also mistreated by Urbanshade (They literally tortured and killed his creator for no reason) and it's confirmed that Seb is not lying to him, he will come back and take him out of the blacksite. They are both traumatized and they both are responsible for the lockdown. I love this duo.

Knowing Sebastian's story makes this hit all the damn harder. Everytime I watch I feel slightly saddened because Sebastian JUST wants freedom. He never wanted this.

This whole video was amazing but can i just gush about sebs face for a bit at 0:53
I love his face right here cuz before this its like a leading up to a monster, theres a figure that throws a mangled dead body, shows off a bloody keycard that lets out all the horrors. As the light flickers on, it feels like there would be a face grinning at them. It feels like there should be someone smiling down at them, giddy with the feeling of control. look what i can do, look what i have done.
but instead we get an uneasy and determined face, no grin. he isnt mad with power, he isn’t completely fine with killing.
but he will. and he has to. these people will kill him, have killed his humanity, have tortured him. they have to die so he can leave. he has to live so then he can escape. hes determined.
idk, i cant really explain how i feel about this. either way i just really like how you drew his face, gives off that hes feeling lots of mixed emotion.
