After listening back a couple more times a bit more carefully it's interesting to hear the different tones between the guitars with the same pickups. For example the reverse V at 01:58 sounds more...mid-rangey(?) woody(?) than the Relish at 03:24 which is more high endy.

Would love to hear/see a super boring/scientific version of this where you just strum the same A chord four times on each guitar.

Wouldn't wanna be SammyG's roadie when he starts touring with this song...

The one that REALLY stood out was the Gretsch. Those filtertrons are a unique breed.

Man, that reverse flying V sounded annoyingly good

My big takeaways:

1. Each guitar sounds unique, sometimes drastically.
2. Every one of those guitars, save perhaps the sitar and hockey stick, could fit a similar role in the track.

Play what you have in your hands instead of waiting for the "right" gear.

I really liked the Hofner, the '52 Tele and the Jacoland.

Honorary mentions to the Reverse Flying V for sounding *surprisingly* good, and the Gretsch for having the most unique tone overall.

I just got my first Gretsch hollow body and I have never fallen so hardly in love. It has that warm, full, beautiful tone that's so different from my Les Paul and Strat

I could hear the difference between all of them, but some of them were very subtle. A few of them I could figure out what kind of of guitars they were based on the sounds, but in general, I'm not familiar enough with different pickups to be able to tell them apart beyond a single coil and a humbucker.

I love this. Not a bunch of chatting just jamming with a bunch of different guitars. I wish there was more videos like this.

Loved the sound of the Strat Player Plus Strat at 1:19. I can't tell if it's due to the sound of guitars before and after it or whether it's what you're playing at the time, but out of all the strat pickups, that one stood out to me.

Damn I'm very surprise of the range of sounds on the danelectro guitars, that was quite crazy. Also from all of the guitars my fav was the reverse flying V, sounded so clear.

I have been looking so hard to find a video of someone doing this and I finally found it thank you so so much!

I think that Danelectro Sitar sound freakin' amazing. I know it's a niche sound, but you could do some cool Beatles covers with it.

I really dig that rarities strat played at the end. Its vibe an organic bright with warmth.

What a wonderful tune. Especially coming through that reverse flying V.

I listened without watching the video, first, so I didn't know what you were playing. One thing became abdundently clear: a great deal of the tone was coming from the man playing the guitars. The mojo is definitely in your fingers. With the exception of the hockey sticks and the sitar all of the instruments had your funk coming through the pickups. Great video.

My favorite guitar sound & look was definitely the Jaco strat. That thing was totally perfect. (I’m a Gibson man, btw)

Tie for second favorite sounds were vintage/classic style single coils along side the P90’s.

The Hockey sticks were outstandingly interesting.

My personal favorite tones were the tele, reverse flying V and Gretchen. That was kind of nice. Way to go.
