Just go ahead and pronounce it *Stay* Green.. that's what the employees at Lowe's call it. :) They also have a new synthetic under Sta-Green that has humic and kelp. I LOVE IT!

Love how several of you lawn channels are collaborating together! There's plenty to go around so propping each other up is better than cutting each other's throats! Great work and great content! Thanks for the tip on the new fertilizer!

I like the absence of Phosphorus and the presence of Potassium in the Sta-Green fertilizer. The K part helps a lot during hot weather.

Appreciate the time you take to fill us in about something new. I used Milorganite years ago and it wasn`t nearly as good as I`d hoped it would be.

Another former Milorganite user here. I've used Sta-Green for 2 apps now and I'm getting very nice results. I use it along with soil softener, and Root Ruckus.

Thanks for letting me know about this new option. I respectfully slightly disagree with a couple of things, though:
1) The best way to determine if you should or should not be putting down Phosphorous or Potassium is with a soil test. Which leads me to:
2) My soil (North Georgia) is actually fine on Potassium. What I'm actually lacking is Phosphorous.
3) You may actually find that any given fertilizer has trace amounts of lead and/or arsenic.
4) I have no issues with Milorganite being made from biowaste. It's actually digested by microorganisms, so it's not really like spreading manure on your lawn (even though plenty of gardeners use raw manure in their flower beds). It ends up being rich in carbon.

I love this video so much! A few years back I talked about not being a fan of milorganite & boy did I get flamed! So glad for you sharing some real facts & great presentation!

When I used milorganite on my lawn I ended up with a lot of fungi in the lawn, and I had to use fungicide for two years to get rid of it. I had three types of fungi. This year no sign of it at all. I used Sta Green for the first time this year and I'm really impressed. Great video hands down. I have to say I will never use milorganite again ever.

That was awesome George how you pulled Kyle and Jesse into your humid acid, sea kelp discussion. Thanks for the help!

I used this about 2 weeks ago. It really works. Bermuda lawn is doing great in 90 degree heat.

Thanks a lot for having me on, George! You always bring the heat. I might have to try this new stuff myself! ❤

Great video! The price is still pretty high — in Canada the 12 kg bag is $43, but I can get 25 kg bags of 24-6-12 slow release and other similar fertilizers for just $50, almost half the price.

Having Humic in it is the biggest plus to me. I put 2 bags of Humic DG on over all of last year but didn't see much for results; until this spring. Fast green up and the soil was just, well, fluffy. Holds water much better than ever before and it's a sandy soil. During the dry hot June we had I didn't have to water that much to keep it green, you really can't have too much humic. I'll pick up a bag and try it out.

Ive been using humic acid, sea kelp, fish fertilizer, on my front yard and it looks good i still have some bad spots along the sidewalk. Every time i would water along the sidewalk since my yard slopes down to it the water would just run off the grass and down the road. After using a lot of this stuff the water now just soaks into the ground. I saw the lawn amateur on YouTube using 32 ounces of humic on his yard ive started using 10oz of each on mine its starting to look even better my front yard is about 1250 square feet.
