Tragic Details About KISS

The rock band KISS rose to prominence the good old rock and roll way, which was via their legendary live performances. In the '70s, the band became famous for their shocking live shows that included fire breathing, blood spitting, smoking guitars, shooting rockets, and levitating drum kits. The band was also noted for their make-up, costumes, and comic book personas. Starchild, The Demon, Spaceman, and Catman weren’t just rock stars, as they are considered iconic personas in rock and roll that have their own merchandise and action figures. But all good things come to an end, and the band has broken up a few times due to creative differences and infighting. Here are the tragic details of KISS.

I was lucky enough to have met Eric. He was an absolute sweetheart. He is definitely missed.

Paul Stanley: slow down.
Peter Criss: and I took that personally.

Thank you so much for even mentioning Eric Carr. Thank you for giving more light to Eric in this short video and pointing out that his death Was over shadowed, and THANK YOU for also putting his memoir in the end.

That was honestly the best thing anyone with a large following and influence could do to shine more light on him in order to keep his memory alive. Thank you.

I’m 54, been a fan since I was seven! KISS is what embodies rock! The negatives, the positives, the dream! They nailed it with the looks, songs, stage shows!!! They embody all that is rock! The ups, the downs, the member changes! But they stuck to what they believe in!!! BEST BAND EVER!!! No matter the lineup!!

Best rock n roll lyric:
But when I woke up, Mom and Dad
Are rolling on the couch
Rolling numbers, rock and rollin'
Got my KISS records out

I was at that North Charleston South Carolina concert to see the original band for the very last time. Peter Criss completely trashed his drum kit that night and it seemed odd because he's not in the regular habit of doing that and he also had a tear painted on his makeup. At the time, I really thought that would be the last time I would see any of them perform again but here we are years later and I've gone to two end of the road tour appearances. I have loved every era of the band. I feel lucky to be a KISS fan and to have all these great years of memories, great tunes and Good times.

I am a Kiss fan. I always have loved listening to them. Whether live or in the studio. If I happened to actually see them, I would say "I wanted the best and I got it." The best Kiss album is Dressed to Kill. Peter Criss was good with Kiss but I still think Eric Carr gave the band a different beat. My favorite song of Kiss is Black Diamond.

Paul Stanley losing his singing voice is a very big tragedy to me, I'm being serious.

They and Queen are the best rock bands that I love since I saw them when I was little, when I was little I never knew they were the bands that will be my destiny I saw them what they look like and listen to their songs, but now as I grow older I learn their stories and listen to more of their songs so thank you KISS and Queen for inspiring me and making me happy

1974, saw their first album on the wall at a small record store in Kentucky. Then saw them on Don Kertchener Friday night TV concerts. Then rushed back to the store and bought that copy (The only one they had). Then started college and Kiss was to do a show there! Drove around the night of the show and found a hotel with their trucks! Saw them walking across the street dressed in black eating ice cream cones! They entered the Holiday Inn. My friends saw them go into a room. A large black guy in a tan jacket with tassels told us to leave. We were front at the show up against the stage. Touching their shoes! Eventually saw them 4-5 times in the 70s. Then saw them in 2000 on the farewell tour. They did the exact same show I saw in 1974. Awesome.

Back in the day, the church I went to announced that parents should burn KISS albums because they were promoting *Kids In Satan's Service*
My fanatical mother followed orders & I was forbidden to ever own or sing to any KISS song.
But I had friends with KISS records 😁

getting a few autographed pictures with them all!

Been a kiss fan since I was 8 years old, I'm 43 now. In my opinion alive 2 & revenge are the best kiss albums.

No mention of long time member Bruce Kulick, Vinnie Vincent and Mark St. John?

Favorite KISS song? 100, 000 Years from the debut album. Runner up - Watching You from Hotter Than Hell.

All band lineups change. I never knew why people make a big deal about KISS changing members. To me, Paul and Gene were original members and will always be KISS to me. It was their original vision, and they always did what was best for the band. Ace and Peter were there in the beginning but let their other issues become more important than their loyalty to the band. Though their contribution can’t be overlooked, it is probably a good thing to note that Tommy Thayer has been with the band longer than Ace, and Eric Singer has been there on and off but longer than Criss. To me they deserve to be there, and seeing them all live is a phenomenal show.

Like them or hate them, KISS (Gene and Paul) are as good of a business as they are a band. I grew up with KISS. I loved them as a kid, then I "sorta" liked them in my early adulthood and then, I didn't really care for them in later years. I'm 51 now and all I can say is that I never lost respect for them. They earned everything they've got and they deserve it.
