James Webb Telescope made a shocking discovery of some of the earliest galaxies ever seen in the universe.
Renowned theoretical physicist Michio Kaku just shared a shocking discovery made by the James Webb Space Telescope.
NASA’s multi billion dollar telescope has just spotted six gigantic galaxies, each roughly the size of our own Milky Way.
A group of galaxies from the dawn of the universe that are so massive they shouldn't exist.
The discovery calls our entire understanding of galaxy formation into question.

When I was a young man, approximately 60 years ago, my father told me that at one point early in the development of automobiles, the theory was if you went over 60 mph in a car with an open roof etc., you would be unable to breath & suffocate.

In my life I’ve seen theories come and theories go. I like it that we are learning so much so fast. However it would be nice if we could learn to be more humble about our idea of the day.

People should be excited about this. All this is doing is furthering our understanding, changing theories and hopefully moving us forward in our knowledge of the universe. This is EXCITING

Shocking, dread, terrifying, panic? NO! Amazing, thrilling, exciting, enlightening!

the question of why anything exists at all will always blow my mind

From now on we should write all Physics textbooks in pencil.

How lucky we are to live at a time when truly wonderous discoveries are being made.

I like you Michio because you are humble enough to admit to not knowing everything and this is the heart of true science in my opinion, I also appreciate your excitement for discovery. Thank you

I won a trophy in the third grade (91)for my science presentation on the solar system from the Voyager program. My teacher told me the thing that stuck out the most was the quote "every time we think we know, we find out that we were wrong".

Michio Kaku breaks silence? The dude is everywhere, he's never silent. 😂

Just proves how little we know and how much we assume that what we know is true. "The more we learn, the less we know."

It wouldn't be the first time we had to completely rethink our understanding of the universe. I love it!

What is most amazing to me is not just that the JWST has forced us to rethink what we thought were fundamentals to space time and quantum mechanics in general, it's how incredibly fast it did so.

I've always understood that in science when you're looking for answers, you only discover more questions.

Love the James Webb! Making those who thought they understood rethink. That's science.

I remember hearing a statement the universe is not only stranger than we have imagined it is stranger than we can imagine.

This is absolutely groundbreaking and fascinating. The universe may be far far older and larger than we imagined.

You know how as we get older, time seems to move quicker, because as we age, a year becomes a smaller fraction of our entire lives up to that point?

What if that is how time operates for everything?

As the universe ages, a year of it’s life becomes a smaller fraction of it’s entire life. So if we’re looking into the oldest parts of the universe, maybe time moved slower when the universe first formed, but gradually sped up the older it got.

When the next generation telescopes get out there that can see farther back, we will yet again will be amazed to see formed galaxies so close to big bang time.
Maybe it's because of the fact that space time itself is expanding and was expanding before the big bang

9:39 this is the part I hate about Science Media. They blur the hubble image to make the Webb image look better. But not only can you tell they are not of the same area(therefore not a real or scientific comparison) but they never gave us dull pictures from the Hubble till now. And yes the pictures that compared the new Hubble pics to the older ones did the same photo lens trick.
