The James Webb Space Telescope found six massive galaxies that some scientists never thought could exist. The telescope is so powerful it might have just shattered scientific understanding of the universe. Theoretical Physicist and best-selling author Dr. Michio Kaku talked to Gadi Schwartz about the groundbreaking report.

Physicists are the only ones who get happy and excited when their theory are proved wrong by a better theory 🔥🔥

That's a real scientist's mind. Evidenced results in the openness of minds. And he's amazed.

Dr. Kaku does not get upset when his theories about the universe and everything within it do not pan out as fact. He is a gem of a physicist.

Love hearing smart minds open to paradigm shifts. Very refreshing

Whatever you want to rewrite. Rewrite it. But after my exams. 😅

Neil deGrasse Tyson once said this to me “we only know 4% about the uni/multiverse” and that being said, we don’t know what we don’t know about this universe

I Only can wish historians was as open minded as astrophysics.

We’ve barely scratched the surface of the knowledge of our existence.

A theory falling is not sad it’s just means that we are understanding more and with new info comes new theories so who knows

1) It hasn't been confirmed and could be an error.
2) It may be real, and galaxies formed faster than we thought for unknown reasons. Possibly primordial black holes, odd fluctuations in energy density, etc.

Number 2 would be more fun, but more work is required to confirm this.

The universe has no obligation to make sense to you.

JWST is indeed one of the greatest innovations of mankind, which I think will give us clues about the mysteries of the universe and unfold the secrets of unknown Dark Matter

This is insightful, as stars barely even started forming at this stage, so how is it possible at this time?

One thing they should not do. Never say an ending to knowledge.

We are still a growing and evolving kind so don't get too arrogant and put an end to space information like we know it all.

2 possible things here:
1. it might just be possible to form big galaxies in this universe in just millions of years, and we just didnt think so;
OR
2. those supergalaxies might be remnants of what gave birth to our big bang. remember, we can only study whats within the OBSERVABLE universe, we cant see beyond points whose light hasnt reached us.
yet.

Prof. said at first that 6 galaxies exists just half a billion years after BigBang.
And in the end by mistake, Sir said that these 6 galaxies are only half a billion years old.

It should be 13 billion years old not half.

The beauty of science is discovery and revision

This discovery is a really big deal. This could mean that something is radically wrong with our idea of what our universe was doing during the early days of its formation. Or it could reveal something that is entirely out of the box that we never thought possible could exist, maybe even different physics laws or something. I'm so glad to be alive in this time of incredible discovery about our Universe.

Lol we’re like bacteria trying to explain neurons…

This is one of the most awesomest things I've heard about space in years, my brain can't stop theorizing the new possibilities.
