Boating and Surviving | Making a LIVING OFF GRID | Middlewich FAB [Ep 163]

This week I head off towards Middlewich FAB Folk and Boat Festival to join lots of other canal boat traders to sell my Nautical and Pirate gifts from my Narrowboat. On route I stop for the night at Bramble cuttings which is a wonderful offside mooring in the middle of the beautiful English countryside, before heading onwards to Middlewich. As usual with England the weather tries to put a dampener on things, however the wonderful people of Middlewich brave the rain to support the floating market.

OMG! I saw your boat at the Middlewich boat festival and I adore it! I wasn't even a subscriber yet. We were on vacation from the USA and when I heard about the floating market I had to see it. So we actually drove by on our way to Heathrow on the final day of our vacation! The rain held off long enough for us to enjoy a lovely stroll through the market. Your pirate boat caught my eye and I shared many a picture of it with my friends back home. So ironic that a suggestion popped up for one of your videos! Now I know the lady behind the boat! Cleaning the propeller:
When a pirate has a job to do, it's always done so right.
To put your hands, in warm wet places, especially when it's night.
To clean that thatch, and rub it down, no easy job to do. But if I were a pirate's mate, I wouldn't have a clue.
So when you see her thrust that prop, it's now so nice and clean. It sure does help me think of it, and let off just some steam. 😜Toot, Toot! 😜

I think you should have your own pirate festival Heidi. That would be amazing. Sell your merchandise. Singing and entertainment. Old.fashioned fair. I.e coconut shy, splat the rat. A climbing wall.( you can hire them.) Treasure hunt for kids. Bands. It would be brilliant. Best dressed pirate. A raffle. loads you could do.
