Who else noticed lego did an illegal building technique on the second boat

Okay naval architect here, that ballast keel on the first "solid" hulled boats doesn't counter the waves. It moves the center of mass below the center of buoyancy, without the ballast the ship is like trying to balance a pencil on its tip. What actually counters the waves is the center of buoyancy moving around.

Also love the pronunciation of yacht, the correct way is clearly wrong along with most English pronunciation.

Unlike that first boat The boat I built myself custom made with no instructions with way too many colors inside it actually floats better

i'm curious, as to what would happen, if the propeller was tested out on a boat from the city set from the artic expeditions series or one of the two boats the aqua raiders used. would they still float?

5:59 Its a playmobil propellor motor. I love playmobil and I can confirm these playmobil motors are all defect and can’t be turned around so they are correct

I had one of those boat motors. They are genius.

For the flickfire missiles around 3:20 need to be flicked not tapped but it looked hard to do that when the boat wouldn’t stay in place

There actually were electric motors that could clip to the keel from the floating series. I had a couple of those. They were not from Lego, but came from a small submarine toy, that I also had.

That first boat NEVER sunk. It takes on water but stays buoyant

I wish this guy changed "In 1979 this pirate raft was released" to "In 1779 this pirate raft was released"

Thanks for doing this, I am writing a book on LEGO, and I wanted to write at least a little something about boats and how they float.

I’m shocked that you didn’t talk about the short-lived little motor for some boats from the 2000s
