Good 'ol dial up games of Starseige: Tribes. I remember 996ms was the highest ping the game would register. The powerful and easy to use map editor was years ahead of other games. In fact, the whole game was pretty much an easy to learn scripting language, allowing you to customize tons of aspects and physics without knowing advanced coding or requiring players to download your maps or modifications. Team Air Combat anyone?

Still being its a tribes game has gotten people interested in the older games, some new life has especially been breathed into T2.

Yo can't blame people too much for comparing Tribes to Halo even despite the fact that they're two very different games. I remember Tribes Aerial Assault boasted "Goodby Halo" right on it's cover. I enjoy both series.

LOL is so succesful and is played by so many because it is essencially DOTA but more casual friendly. I dont say that here wouldnt be a gigh skill cap and stuff, but in comparison with DOTA its pretty beginners friendly and doesnt have such a elite e-sports scene (the esports scene for LOL is way bigger than DOTA ofc)

Looks cool. Kinda looks like Halo, but a lot faster, and a lot more interesting. I am looking forward to it.

SC2 is one of the hardest games out there. You can call LOL and stuff casual if you want but really not SC2

@raiki15 Unreal Tournament 2004 was the best skilled based shooter of all time. Quake and Doom were also good.

the thing is thought there is alot more tac tics and different ways you can lane than in lol than dota, when you get to top end stuff it really is nowhere near what you're thinking
