Tribes was the only game I EVER joined a clan for, even in 2006 before the master server died and the whole 10, 000 or so of us got thrown off, we were STILL playing it, thats how good it was... NO game will ever compare to the first tribes, not even this

Sometimes, a company makes a revolution in gaming. In our current time, tribes is the game. Free, fun, skill is helpfull.
This kind of dedication to the gamers should be rewarded in my opinion.

It's good to know that the genre of fast-paced shooters didn't come to an end with UT3. This game is a worthy successor.

I used to love tribes 2 and I love this one too, its fast, competitive, skillful, pretty and there's plenty to do. At the moment it seams to have a good bunch of friendly people playing too but its addictive though "I'll just log on and play a couple of games..." and twenty games later ...

Yes, I think so. However, I would caution certain people, as some of them may not like the features present in this game. But, there's reason enough to try it. Especially since the game is free to play. Go to their website, download the game, and give it a try. If you like what you see, you will probably not be disappointed.

Tribes is seriously the precursor to ALL modern FPS games. Except that they came first and got something right that no one else did. MOVEMENT.

The distinction of the tribes games though has always been travel time on projectile weapons to (usually) fast moving targets the faster more hit scan like weapons quite rightly have a damage penalty. When I book out a sentinel its usually to wear down base defenses, shuffle around defenders, pick off injured players, help with assists or take out those other bloody annoying sentinels! I think its is well balanced class that's good at its job.

OMG I played the First Tribes with my little cousin on the ps2, this was awesome, I'm so happy to see it again! So addicting back then, it had an AI bot system since we didn't have to be online we would just attack each other basses and stuff. Fun times :)

And who ever says that this is a copy of Halo is obviously a little kid that was born after 2002, because this cam out WAY before halo existed.

@Zerkini Haloish is understating it a bit, it uses the Unreal 3 Engine so it's rather good

Well, that means that you have to focus. Otherwise you will miss something important that can make your team loose. By focusing while playing you can prevent that from happening. Most of the time it's all about distracting your enemy so they loose focus, and then you can execute your next plan flawlessly.
