This set is fantastic! I just wish it wasn't the only "big" set of the wave.

I believe that tie pilot is indeed new and exclusive. Looks upgraded over the last tie pilot.

I’m pretty sure the tie fighter pilots helmets were different to the normal stromtroopers helmets and had a bit taken out of the back

Somewhere around 2012-2013 the imperial troopers had black heads with printed on faces, I loved those, it's a shame they had a really short run

Part of me wishes Lego made it a big larger, but I can see why they did not. But I do have one serious critique: the bomb function... I'm a fan of flick-fire missiles, but not as a bombing function. This will definitely be my second Star Wars set to mod when I get it. I'll do what Lego didn't do and give my bomber a bomb bay and dropping function. Otherwise, the set looks solid and very smooth all around.

The price is still a bit high for the modest size of this, but it's better than paying three figures for the original 2003 model,

Solid set, however the minifigures could have been better. All lego imperial officers should have dual molded legs by this point, and it would be better if Tie Fighter pilots used the balaclava head
