I had the good fortune of being raised by a Green Beret. I was born in Fort Bragg while he was going through school. He’s been gone for 5 and a half years. We were fortunate. He died quietly in a hospital room with his family. I remember him coming back from Southeast Asia. Some did not. He was and still is my hero. God watch over them while they watch over us.

As a brother in Arms who went when called. I cry for a life you gave up for those who suffer oppression. We all should look around and thank God for your gift. As a brother in arms, I cry for you appreciate knowing you.

I met and worked with an American officer GB in Somalia, never really thought about what he did. I am an ex British army Commando. Wish I could go back all those years, to say hi. Would love to get in touch again, he was a nice guy willing to learn new skills

I remember Kettle well, looked after me as young soldier in Hawaii and was a great leader. I'll never forget him!
