You know damn good and well nobody is being fired. Thats one of the many issues with our military. Nobody can be fired nomatter the extreme levels of incompatence. All they do at worst is letters of reprimand and send them to a seperate chain of command. I had a LT whos dumbass decisions was solely responsible for a US casualty in a combat situation. What did army do? They took him off the outpost and put him in an air conditioned hard hut on the big FOB pushing papers

Its crazy, I spent more than a decade, just trying to get right and process my experiences from Afghanistan. There were lots of ups and downs, but I'm still here, i felt like I had made some improvement over the years. When Afghanistan fell, it was difficult to watch on the news. How it all went down really brought back so much of that pain and grief, and knowing that no one will be held to any account sucks. I wasn't naive about the US government or MIC when I enlisted, but I always thought we would at least just stay, throw up bases, and do that whole thing. Oh, well, on to the next
