This video demonstrates exactly what NOT to do while testing with Tesla's Full Self-Driving Beta software. This was recorded with FSD Beta v10.3.1 on my 12th day of testing.

I have been testing the betas since 10.3. Your video helps me understand them better. Thank you.

The thing is FSD is not only attempting to drive in your area but in any area anywhere in the country. The roads and intersections and traffic patterns vary wildly across the country. It becomes a better driver as it learns to drive in different locations, at least that’s the goal.

In the first screw up, that right lane could be a turn lane or a bicycle lane with a solid white line. The car was not sure which one it was until it saw the marking on the road in the last minute. Some additional map data could also help with such situations.

Thanks for showing how the internal camera tracks attentiveness. I've also heard that if you look at your phone it will also alert you to take over. Have you tried that?

Thank you for the work you are doing. I really appreciate your common-sense approach to beta testing. My understanding is that the car itself does not learn between updates. Your inputs go to Tesla and the learning (AI training) is done there and (possibly) included in a future software update. This is a point that I have been thinking a lot about lately, because it means that your car does not have the advantage that a normal human driver has of learning the finer points the local streets. It can become a (generic) good driver, but will never be able to know ahead of time that (for instance) the local traffic always backs up in a certain place and it's important to get into the correct lane early and stay there, even if the other lane(s) is(are) moving faster. I wish there was a way I could give the Tesla AI team an idea to think about and maybe influence how they work the FSD software development. I expect they would shy away from having individual cars learn the finer points of the local streets because that would mean that the car would be updating its own AI (causing the risk of an AI problem they don't know about), but that is how we as humans learn: we become intimately familiar with the local streets.
