Honestly though, he really is. He saved the twins and others multiple times, saved people in the apocalypse and when they started falling after entering Mabel’s bubble, he tried to make his body a shield for Dipper and Wendy. He did a lot of other things too. Soos even stopped listening to Stan in Not What He Seems because he wanted to protect everyone. He even said “I’m sorry Mr. Pines, but I have a new mission, protecting these kids!”
He really was a hero.
