What I like about this video is you take it off the stove early, at just the right time, and let it finish brewing off the stove from the heat inside the pot to prevent it from scorching. Most videos leave it on the stove too long.

When we were learning to use moka pots in Italy, we were told to leave it on the flame until it stopped bubbling. Now that we’re pros and have a pot almost every afternoon, I pull it off right when it begins and let it finish on the counter, and it tastes much better!

To have crema you need fresh beans and higher pressure. Also, crema is just a CO2 release so it doesn’t bring any taste to drink

I've just bought a Brikka (the newer version where there is a circle hole on top so the cover can still be closed while brewing). It already had the crema valve. I'd say it's a worthy investment after trying my third practice brew with cheap ground coffee

I just bought a Brikka this week, I think it's much safer than adding a valve.

With Brikka, you can't do it exactly the same as the moka pot; you have to follow the instructions and use the measuring cup so the water won't overflow.
