Soul Red Crystal is my favorite Mazda color. The designers display their true passion in this color. I especially love how this 2024 Mazda CX-5 looks with the painted cladding updates.

I don’t think you can get a better all-around vehicle than the 2024 CX-5 Preferred with Parchment leather, moonroof, rear power liftgate, and the Soul Red exterior.

What do you like best about the Preferred CX-5?

Love, the Soul Red color. I have it on my 2019 CX-5 Signature.
I would change the parchment interior to a saddle/light brown leather color.
Also, I wish Mazda would bring back a bright blue color to match the Soul Red. The 50 shades of gray colors popular on many CUV/SUV's are boring to me.
Thanks, for the videos.

In the past I've had front wheel drive or rear wheel drive cars but I love the all wheel drive on my 2023 Mazda CX-5 Select. That and the safety features make me feel safe as I drive.

Hey Jonathan when do you think mazda will redesign the cx5, and which model cx5 sells the most cx5 natural aspirated engine or cx5 turbo engine.

@Jonathan Sewell: Thank you for another great review! How would I be able to identify a Premium Plus that does NOT have i-Stop and cylinder deactivation? I am one of those that would prefer to not have the features? Thank you.

No cylinder deactivation and I stop means ur engine will last longer. hopefully the chip shortage keeps going.

I just helped my friend get a Premium a couple weeks ago. She loves it! I need that big screen in my Miata! Lol

So where did the Red hash marks in the front grill disappear to? That was a nice touch on MAZDA'S part to distinguish the front grill. Really liked that.
That a side the Soul Red is a most beautiful color for the CX5. Don't really care for the " white " interior. Would be a little difficult to keep looking white especially if you have kids riding in the rear seats...Beautiful Interior color tho.
Just waiting for my CX5 Turbo Premium in same color to arrive...😊😊

Why why why?? The cup holders in front just won't move em. Why are the cup holders right where my arm goes? Why is the center consol so far back.. prefer the layout of the 30 and 50!

I just bought a 2024 CX 5 Premium in Deep Crystal Blue Mica and am loving it. However, I am very surprised that it does not have an individual tire pressure display on the dash or in the "My Mazda" App--WHY? I traded a 2022 CX30 that had it, and even have an old 2004 Jeep Liberty that also has it. I am meticulous about checking tire pressure for best wear and best MPG. There is of course a TPMS warning light.

With 2 boys, there is no way I would want an interior that light. I wouldn't be able to keep it clean! I like the Soul Red, but the Eternal Blue and the Jet Black Mica would be nice as well with the Black Leather interior of a Premium Plus.

Does the Soul Red still chip as much in 2024?

I would get this suv, if it had a good hybrid and if it was slightly bigger.

I still can’t give up my 2018 cx5 GRT with 39k miles for 2024 cx5. Change my mind please

Jonathan- Got a question that maybe has been on the mind of some of your viewers who are 6' and taller: Could the driver ( and maybe, the passenger ) seats be extended, say 2" or so more via "extended seat guide rails" to accommodate us tall folks? I'm 6'1" tall, 73 year old and really love the Mazda CX-5 design! I'm in the market for a new "updated" car to replace my 20 year old Subaru Forester of 144, 000 miles and in very good shape.
According to a dealer in my Atlanta area (Rick Case), they said "No...period". I actually think it can be done. There will never be anyone sitting in the rear seats cause no one goes with us hardly at all in the 48 years I've been married.
This is one of two other questions I have about the CX-5. The others...well, here goes: In this make/model, it has the 6 speaker system. As to radio/audio music playing, we don't do that much like we use to but, to get "bottom end bass notes" six speakers won't do much as the Bose type set up does, so...can a portable small better sound bass speaker sound" be attached via the USB ports? I have a bluetooth Jawbone brand little model that does fairly well with bass notes. I wonder if that "extension" could be also sounding with the six speaker system?
Here's the final question: Can Fog Lamps be put in on the CX-5? It's a shame they were discontinued by Mazda. I have used extensively the fog lamps on my Subie and, it helps some on dark roads obviously.
Okay...that's it. Look forward to your expertise reply, Jonathan. Thanks!

Nice looking now that they color keyed the wheel well trim! I’ve always disliked all the black cladding!

I can't believe Mazda still uses these ancient gauges dating back to 2017 in the lower trims of the CX-5. The latest gen partial digital gauges in the 3 and CX-30 should be standard. You never axe a cash cow but I'm not sure where a rumored redesign of this fits in. The Euro CX-60 seems the perfect size replacement for most CX-5 buyers. Even a lower spec US CX-70 should be fine.
