Caravan ATC Problem (Solved)

Hello Everyone in todays video we take a look at a Problem I had with the Caravans ATC (Automatic Trailer Control). ATC is a an electronic Braking System by Alko it prevents the Caravan from Snakeing and applies the Caravans Brakes. Thanks for Watching, Phil

Thanks for sharing this one Phil, I think I may have the same problem with my 2020 Bailey as there is no light displayed on the ATC. I will carry out your suggested checks and see what I can uncover.

Many thanks for the advice its clearly a simple fault that could develop at anytime. As we receive a discount on our insurance due to the fact of having ATC on our caravan.The insurance make it clear that the ATC must be activated/functional for every journey. Failure to do this would void any insurance claim for a loss of control accident. 👍👍👍

Cheers for this one Phil. Just goes to show what a headache a simple connector fault can cause. I wonder whether or not the plug was ever 100% plugged in "until it clicked". Glad you got it sorted and here's to trips away 😀

I was thinking of buy a tester ? What you reckon ? Imagine if this happens in Europe? However good news it’s just the plug, I wonder how those plugs became lose, I checked mine today

Hi I’ve bought a caravan with this fitted my car doesn’t feed the power to it . Is it just a live feed it needs to go to the pin in the plug and it will activate?

Hi Phil, I’ve got a 2018 Sprite Major 6TD. Did you get the ATC fitted as a dealer fit option, as mine didn’t come fitted with that as standard?

ATC didn’t exist I don’t think back in 2003 when my Elvis was made 😜
