How to clear Recent Files List in Photoshop 2024

but how do I remove/delete just on file? adobe really should let you select, right click and delete

I worked on multiple projects(pictures) in photoshop months ago and I deleted the pictures from my Mac and they disappeared from the recent file list on their own because basically I permanently deleted them from my trash. This morning I opened photoshop and I found all of them in the recent file list again!!! How is that even possible?! however, when I click on any file of them it says “cannot open the selected item because the file could not be found”.
I’m afraid that even if I did the same process in the video they would reappear again, because I don’t want anyone to see them. So what should I do to make sure they won’t reappear again?
