It’s impressive how Luigi’s own drug hallucinations tried to get him to quit his addiction.

1:46 The graffiti next to the mirror says "257", it probably stands for "GG 257", alprazolam. This pill is prescribed for anxiety and panic, which luigi is known for. Side effects might include memory loss, confusion, speech problems, yellow skin and eyes and hallucinations. We know what he is in.
Also: This drug works by "reducing" emotions, so the fact that he comes back when he FEELS something, like cuteness by the koopa or being flattered by the princess makes sense.
