Buddhist nuns travel for the first time - A touching journey through India

Caroline Riegel, globe-filmmaker, had promised her buddhist nun friends she would travel accross India with them. As the seasons go by, they discover for the first time their own country: from the Himalayas to the Andaman Islands, from crowd to prayer, from the isolation of a Himalayan winter to a globalised life and most of all far from the India we know.

What a fascinating and deeply engrossing documentary! India is such a vast and beautiful country. Thank you Caroline Riegel, for taking these nuns on a journey to see and experience India, and for posting this video. I enjoyed watching it. I also felt deeply touched at several places. These nuns are so inquisitive and righteous, too, one of whom argues with a man on the bank of the Ganges why he does not stop people from defecating and urinating at such a holy place, in the open. These nuns respect nature. It is time Indians learned how to respect nature too, and keep their rivers and fields clean. Thank you Caroline Riegel. You have done great service to these nuns. They would never have seen all these places, and even drink tea at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai without your help. Even I would think twice before stepping into that expensive hotel, much less drink tea there.
