I used half the bait in the packet and it stank if you are close. Basically use less bait.. i went away for few weeks and it was filled with flies. This time i added just a little bit if bait, some cat food, little tuna fish, little liver and juices of chicken liver. Put it on the sun. Does not stink yet. Used only sprinkling of original bait. // yes its better putting them away from yourself or your animals. It will attract flies. But i have none in my house now. Only outside on the patio. I have to say it really works. Also no need to use the whole packet of bait. When i used half amount of bait on my patio.. it stunk.. but i was not sure what stunk and its a small patio. Use less bait. it works with less.

I think a lot of people miss the instructions on these, they are supposed the be hung at least 30 ft away from where you are going to be to attract flies away from you and so you don’t have to smell it! I made the same mistake before I realized.

I just heard about this because someone suggested adding dog food and water to the product and the flys around my house go crazy for our dog food 😡
