Recreating the 'Recreator' #3dprinting #recycling

I redesigned the "ReCreator3d" to be easier to build and more cost effective. The original recreator consists of 47 3D printed parts and cost $168 in components. My design the "PullStruder V1" is made using 2 3D printed parts and costs $67 in components.

Amazing! I knew it could be made cheaper, thank you! Hopefully it’ll be more accessible

Not if only there was a way to to cheaply convert my failed prints to filament lol. We don’t use plastic bottles in our house. The few that do get reused in the garden

These are great! I have 3 of them, but mine are quite customized including a larger, stronger spooler hub, filament out sensor and custom firmware.

Use recreator filament to build a recreator.

With 15 cents per bottle deposit, this is not cheap in the netherlands 😅

Great work really i wanted to do this but i didn't have 3D printer to sacrefice and i'm not so good at 3D modeling so do you maybe have a model of this new thing you build ?? That would be amazing great work again 👍👍

Keep it going everyone. If big businesses refuse to recycle (even though it would save them billions) then we are the only ones able to stop them ✊

You need to do this with ender parts we all have a ender laying around so it’s actually more expensive to buy things

Would be cool if you added a part to it that adds glow powder to the flat ribbon before it gets heat formed round.

Huhh...
This is cool! The lack of speed and temperature control do worry me a little.

Take a look at the "addon unit" style, you only need a hotend and a nema17 motor. You add those in-line with your current printers hotend and extruder motor instead of using a whole printer.
yes it's more than 2 printed parts, but then again, a the spooler section and a mount for the hotend are all you would need for the add-on, fix it it a plank of wood or some spare aluminium extrusion

keep in mind, part of the idea is to take a printer that otherwise would have gone in the trash.

So you turned multiple use plastic into double use plastic?

Let’s hope AI isn’t allowed to roam wild with advanced 3D printers
