Why are they still looking for a gunman? The deputy already admitted that he faked the whole story about the sniper. The LA county sheriff's department already put out a statement admitting that the deputy lied. The thing is the mayor stated that he went to the hospital to see the wounded deputy. He said the deputy was in good spirit but in a lot of pain. But the news also said he went home.

If they found the sniper, did they wait a week before arresting him? Clearly if the officer did not shoot himself, the shooter is well trained and a good shot. He would also have a rifle that could shoot that far.
