Best croissant in Paris?

Favorite croissants✨ The criteria: flaky layers (no dense wet undercooked dough), crispy top, savory, a delicate honeycomb structure but also has body (we’re not trying to eat air), not dry. We consumed a ridiculous number of croissants over our month in Paris. Some were hits. Some were not.

Cafe Carrousel is hands down our favorite and it’s a true hidden gem! Run, don’t walk, they only make a small batch. Brigat is a close second for its beautiful layers and delicate buttery notes (it’s a little denser than Le Carousel’s but still chef’s kiss). Angelina was our 3rd fav, but it lost some points for its sweet glaze. Cedric Grolet is perfection but their 2-hour queue for a $8 croissant (which might be sold out by the time you get to the front) is just not it. Carette has great hot chocolate but their croissants are on par with Costco.

The best thing about travel food you never gain any weight. It is both the type of clean ingredients and the miles you walk to explore any new city.
