I use brushes by Rosemary and Co. Here are some details if you need suggestions as to the size and type you might want to get started:

Specific Rosemary and Co. brushes I tend to use the most that could be a good basis for your first set of brushes (select "short handle"):
-Series 33 brushes, sizes 0,1,2 and 10/0:
-Series 56 flat brushes for dry brushing, size 3 for smaller areas, and size 6 for large:
-However, Series 768 are a much cheaper alternative you can use for dry brushing and will do the job just fine:

Great work - as always.
I found the skin painting in this one particularly great.
Applying a base skin color, then darken it with shade, only to apply the same base color again to layout the highlights (which is now brighter due to the shading) seems like a great trick.

Just have to say superb videos! I dunno specifically what you did or said, but I looked through a few of the Descent series videos, started using paint medium (instead of only trying to work with water) and got some stuff to change the shine of paints, and my painting quality has improved immensely! This is from someone who has been painting figures on and off (for fun) for the last 20 years!

Just painted Leoric! My first non-warhammer miniature. Working on a small scale was tedious and messy at times, but I’ve ended up with a decent (or Descent ;-)) outcome. First proper highlighting I’ve done. Came out okay! Amazing tutorial, thank you very much!

Really great video. You really inspired me to start painting my Descent minis though I havn't painted much. Hope you still consider doing more of the Descent minis. I will be watching closely :)
