The economy is fine if you’re rich, which means it’s almost always fine. If you’re rich, you can navigate financial turmoil. If you’re poor, you lose everything.

I make more than both my parents ever had. If i work for 10 years straight with no time off i still cant get a house. This is a pit most people are stuck in. Even getting a better job is just a bandaid. My brother ended up with roomates, 5 separate friends with variations in their lives all live with their parents.
One stays home playing games but is a hs drop out, the other stays home but graduated hs. The other dropped out early and got a job but he still lives with his folks. Another friend went into ac. This guy acts like he has it made but again. Lives with his parent's and even drives his fathers car around.
When my entire life is going to a tobbaco factory and then days off at the hospital due to many sick family members its hard not rationalizing people that go postal. I asked a boss two years ago for a raise to help with my brothers medical payments. He has sense been on 3 vacations no raise. The fact these people can sleep at night at all makes me want to stop them from sleeping.

And the solutions everyone has is just "go find more work" i hate it.

Always remember that a big part of his job is to avoid panic. The economy isn't fine. Companies are fine, hence all time highs in the stock market. But people are not. The vast majority of people have no savings and live month by month, barely managing to afford their bills with a few dollars left over. So the economy overall is weak because consumers are generally riddled with debt and can't progress in life. So much of the economy is just on hold until boomers die and wealth starts getting passed down but by that time most of their kids will already be in their 40's or 50's. Odds are anyone with a decent inheritance will sell-up and move somewhere more affordable, leaving all the poor people stuck and an economy with no spending power.
