Hey folks,

Here's a demo of a new song of mine called “ghosts”

For years I wasn’t able to sing like this … the combination of smoking and singing all the time meant that I could never get up this high 😞 it was something that I just accepted and never thought it would change .

Over the last few years I’ve been looking after myself way better and slowly but surely my falsetto returned .

Although I’ll never quite be bon iver, I cant tell you how joyful it is to be able to sing in this register 🥲

I really love this song . I feel like it’s about as honest and vulnerable a song as I’m able to write .

Mike, I met you in Jersey, I was with my husband. I have terminal cancer and you kindly allowed me to see you back stage, seeing you live and meeting you was top of my bucket list and I still live that moment every day.
I’m 8 years since diagnosis on July 27th this year . I’m not as well as I was as the hormone blocking treatment is no longer working and I’m on Capecitabine chemotherapy now, but I’m still here, still loving your gift and still with my soulmate George. I’m blessed.

I love it, you wanna know why? Because this is what Passenger is about, really fk sad songs that are vulnerable and as honest as a child. Some people may find the falsetto voice to much, but I think it adds to the music of Mike. Even more open and real, that’s why this ‘over the top’ falsetto works with this song. Thank you Mike!
