Building in public is a pretty simple strategy, so in this video I'll break it down to 5 essential steps. I won't guarantee this will get you interviews but it'll definitely help more than doing nothing.

I hope this strategy helps all of you out and I'll probably start doing this myself (I regret not doing it earlier). It's a tough market right now, so keep your head up and keep grinding.

This is huge

I’ve been building in public for about 40 days just from live streaming and already built some great connections.

great video, but it's sad that the job market has to force everyone to have a side hustle. As a working developer I derive all my satisfaction as a developer from the coding process. If someone is a lumberjack they should be able to make a living just from the process of cutting wood and refining it, not have to be forced by the job market to be a lumberjack influencer.

This is a unique and great approach for job hunting. That’s some of the reason I started YouTube, as well. Also, I was really entertained with your editing style! I feel like it’s gotten better too. Thanks for sharing!

I’m trying this.. most people don’t care what you’re working on unless it blows other stuff out the water or you’re already known. I could be doing something wrong, but that’s been my experience.

One crucial aspect this video might not have covered extensively (and can be easy to overlook) is the importance of accurate information. Especially for junior developers who are still building their knowledge base, sharing incorrect information can be detrimental to other beginners just starting out.

Great video! This has given me a new perspective. Theres been a particular project that I worked on and finished but never promoted. I've always been hesitant as self promotion feels a bit weird but honestly why not. Thanks!

But as per someone who doesn't post much on social media, this is a disastrous idea. The clash between my ego and getting a job.

Hi codingsloth, I found your video few months ago and it really inspired me to start doing more projects to promote myself. I hope you can make a video talking about techniques/steps you go through when you take a project. Love your sloth avatar and love your content!

This is actually pretty cool and useful!
But also imagine having to become an actual content creator literally just to stop being unemployed. The absolute state of the job market.

Sloth do you still recommend building in public for beginners? I’m a beginner and my current projects are as simple as calculators and to-do lists so it feels embarrassing to share them.

That the gaps I could not reach ...
Now it starts processing..
I still need a way to not scroll too much time and it's quite a distraction..on the other side there is also a huge gain and opportunities.
