The amount of sprays depends on the strength of the fragrance.

#of sprays is subjective and dependant on the fragrance strength. Eau de toilette, cologne and parfum are very different in potency. Also, weather plays a role in how the scent projects. Another factor to consider is the type of scent. Spicy, leathery, floral, citrus, sweet or gourmand. All of these perform different on different skin types and seasons. 5 is basic guidelines. Use what makes you happy unless you are in a shared space like an office. Then maybe tone it down a lil.

if u have a strong fragrance then only apply 2-3 times, but if u have a soft and light fragrance then apply 5 times or so

It depends on the fragrance. With some you can go 30 sprays and with some 2 is enough

Not a pulse point but the back of your dominant hand is a good move since it moves around a lot and wafts the fragrence around, especially for those that talk with their hands

I tend to apply to pulse points, going anywhere between 3 to 8 sprays based on the fragrance's strength(mainly how far it projects), while also spraying less if it's hot outside.


With a moisturizer, make sure it's unscented and somewhat soaked in your skin before applying your fragrance, as rubbing the fragrance weakens it.

This is the exact reason I have to re educate people on wearing fragrances in my store videos exactly like this . Two sprays to the bare chest one shot to the back of the neck is more then enough spraying your wrist doesn't do anything at all.

Ok now listen and listen well…. Here’s what you do. Shower, pick nice attire and be well groomed, moisturize or not, then get dressed fully. Spray two in the right and left side of your neck inside your shirt, two on each side vertically on your shirt waste to chest, two on each side of the inside of your arms fore arm and biceps, one behind your neck and maybe one on your hair. The only time you don’t do this is if the fragrance is extremely potent like a potent oud or extremely sweet. Stay away from people for a bit to let the scent settle then go outside or wherever you’re going. People over exaggerate the issue of over spraying, trust me it’s the only way your fragrance is even smelled unless you only want to it for people that come and give you a hug.
