Officials released new video showing Danelo Cavalcante's daring escape of a Pennsylvania prison where he scaled a wall before pushing through razor wire. NBC’s George Solis reports for TODAY.

Honestly I think it’s not to bad they took an hour to notice he was gone. That’s actually pretty quick for a prison.

So a prior prisoner got out the same exact way. And your security was to put some barbed wire up top. You realize the man's In prison for life and now has an opportunity. He just has to go by a little bit of sharp wire. I'd cut my own arm off to get out of prison if I was doing life.

If he wasn't in for murdering his girlfriend I would probably be cheering him on lol. This guy needs to be caught. It's crazy that with all the resources that they haven't caught up to him. Makes me think the sightings were false and that he has had some help getting across the country.

always gotta love when it takes a day or so before the law makes an announcement of a escaped prisoner. more time for them to get away . more time to try and protect themselves as if its not their fault. report it sooner and faster report time for folks to see hey i saw a guy with a few cuts it was him saw him at the local Piggyly wiggly 30 mins ago heading south

If this man is still in the United States after two weeks, he is not as smart and determined as he must be to pull this kind of escape off. Unless he sustained some sort of major injury 🤕, is it likely that this man is still in Pennsylvania or this country. Two weeks is a long time to be on the move. If he is not already in Canada, Mexico, or the Caribbean, I would be surprised. I wonder why the authorities waited so long to share details of his escape. They were probably embarrassed and piecing together how they were going to cover their rear ends considering someone had previously escaped in a similar manner. Wild!
