📖 Story:
One day, the Mario Bros were hanging out near their house until they suddenly received a letter from Peach. They've been invited for the Star Festival! Before that festival starts, they're planning to take a trip with a hot air balloon. Things turn out for the worse once something goes wrong...

Everyone gets scattered, and now it's up to Mario to find his friends, as well as retrieve the Rainbow Stars, which were scattered by the newly awakened Starnox. Mario must get these Rainbow Stars, otherwise the plan of plunging the world into darkness might succeed... Thankfully Mario will be accompanied by many different partners alongside his journey.

From a star kid to a ghostly spirit, and from a blooper pirate to the dark star itself, safe to say Mario will encounter many unique friends and foes on his adventure! This adventure will take you through the archipelago where Yoshis reside, an abstract forest inhabited by many different ghosts, a sky island which holds all 4 seasons at once and more!

Grey Dolphins aren't Mario's friend. You get directly on the back of blue dolphins alright, but even when grey dolphins lift you up, they have a platform between them and Mario, so Mario don't ever touch them.

This game is pretty cool. Definitely noticing some heavy Celeste inspiration in this game. Especially with the silhouette stage when the blooper was attacking you, that is a 1 to 1 mechanic from a level in Celeste, then the area immediately after that where you go into the orbs there's another mechanic that is pretty much a 1 to 1 copy from a mechanic in Celeste.

I think this game is telling you to play Celeste Darby LMAO!

Most of the stuff I would have said as a separate comment was as a reply to the creator's comment. This goes without saying but I am looking forward to the next episode when it releases. I like the fact that Lakitu saves Mario in the rift. I wonder why he lifts him backwards even the forwards platform is closer though. Maybe he doesn't really want anyone to collect the star but doesn't want anyone to die trying either. Perhaps he doesn't want to make Mario fall on purpose because otherwise he would have to do too much heavy lifting and he may not be powerful enough to collect the star himself.

This is so well done for a fan game. Somehow i overlooked that this was episode 2. :O Can't wait for more. Too bad that's all of the demo. :( Also, that little guy in Yoshi's Island was Geno from Super Mario RPG.
