Japan is placing multiple bets on hydrogen as a fuel source. The country's ultimate goal is to become the world's first hydrogen society, running its factories, heating its homes and fueling its transportation with clean energy. CBS News' Lucy Craft reports it's a prospect as tantalizing as it is daunting.

ZERO useful information in this report. How much does it cost to manufacture hydrogen and will it be possible to manufacture enough hydrogen to replace natural gas?

Hydrogen Fuel Cell vehicles are WAY better than battery powered cars, battery cars can't even come near

we do the same in france with cars, train, bus powered by hydrogen . There is another option with an engine powered by magnesium powder recyclable at 99 % or more to replace lithium batteries. The magnesium is everywhere on earth and you can reload it at the gas station easily .

Hydrogen fuel cell cars ARE 100% electric cars, not "just like" an electric car. You also failed to mention that the fuel cell was invented in 1839, 182 years ago, we went to the moon using them, electrolysis invented in 1805, 216 years ago, or the Japan and the USA are surrounded by unlimited hydrogen in the oceans. Educate the nation, with facts.

A strange Japanese... It's used as a cosmetic product to apply to your face after eating Okinawa Gyeongseok. Japan is going crazy over absurd claims to export to foreign countries. On the 28th, a press conference was held to encourage Japanese to use Okinawa Gyeongseok, which was caused by the Okinawa Undersea Volcano eruption, in a short period of time, saying that it is good for skin beauty and food.
However, the U.S. FDA said that hard stones are very dangerous because magma thousands of kilometers underground is released containing radioactivity.I'm rooting for Japan that's going crazy.

Hydrogen won't work for the long term in everyday cars.
Hydrogen is more dangerous to transport and contain (Regulations), and more costly to produce, transport, and store.
As compared to going straight from an electric power source, to a battery, etc...

Hydrogen automobiles would be expensive af, they have a large number more parts under the hood than a pure electric.
